Facing issue with the Setup Digitus Wi-Fi N Repeater? The Digitus DN-70181 is a network adapter that can be use as wired or wireless network connections in the home, office and small business. Without hardwiring, you can create many access points.
Note: You will receive a Wi-Fi repeater, Ethernet wire, and a simple installation guide with the package.
Wi-Fi Repeater can be set up in two different ways:
1. Wireless Repeater Mode
2. Wireless AP Mode
Setup in Repeater Mode:
- The repeater should be put into a wall outlet close to the gateway that already exists.
- The present gateway should be able to connect to the Internet via wireless.
- Next, Connect to the WiFi repeater open network using the WiFi settings on your PC, laptop, or smartphone.
- In your browser, go to myrepeater.net or 192.168.10.1.
- Log in with the default username and password.
- Under the wizard option, select the repeater mode.
- Select the existing 2.4 GHz WiFi network of the router.
- Save the settings after entering the wireless network security key.
Setup in AP Mode:
The AP mode assists you in creating a wireless access point. Here are the procedures to configure the repeater as an AP mode by using an Ethernet wire.
- Firstly, Use an Ethernet cable to connect the Wi-Fi repeater to the existing gateway LAN port.
- For electricity, connect the repeater to a wall socket.
- Join an open Wi-Fi repeater network using your Wi-Fi device.
- In your browser, type 192.168.10.1 or http://myrepeater.net.
- Login with the default login details.
- Select the AP mode from the wizard menu.
- Finally, Click Next to finish the configuration.
Your Wi-Fi repeater is now setup in AP mode. Make sure the Ethernet cable from the repeater is not broken
Note: A Wi-Fi repeater help in the extender of an existing Wi-Fi signal while maintaining the same Internet speed. It will not boost the speed of your Wi-Fi device’s Basic Internet connection.
