HOW TO SETUP iMitlink WiFi Range Extender?

There are two ways to setup iMitlink WiFi Range Extender: either through the web interface or by pressing the WPS button.

Setup iMitlink WiFi Range Extender using a web browser

  1. The router needs to be placed such that it can be paired when both the device and the router have been put into the power outlet.
  2. The device is now turned on; once it is, watch for the wireless LED to illuminate.
  3. Using an Ethernet cable, you can connect by first connecting the wire from the appropriate iMitlink WiFi Range extender to your computer and then the wire from your computer to the extender.
  4. Always double-check to be sure no additional Ethernet wires are connected to your device.
  5. Choose the internet option while using a laptop or computer. The wireless devices list will allow you to select the optical overlay device.
  6. Simply click the “Connect” button to establish the connection.
  7. Use a browser to view the router’s web interface. In the address bar, type the route’s IP address 192.168.1.3.
  8. You must use the default login and default password to access the router.
  9. Select the SSID of the network that your Wi-Fi is connected to, and then enter the password.
  10. The next step is to click the Next button.
  11. You can change the SSID on the iMitlink device. The iMitlink device and your wireless network can both be accessed with the same password. Tap the next button to continue.
  12. You should check the RED LED on the imitlink dual band repeater, once the connection has been made. Once it has stop blinking, the color of the LED will turn solid.

How to reset the imitlink wifi extender?

The imitlink extender will disconnect from any active Wi-Fi router connections or all iMitlink extender setup settings will be deleted if you reset it to its factory default settings. Push the reset button and configure it again if the range extender is connected but there is no internet connection.

  1. Wait for the repeater device to fully power up before inserting the power wire into the socket.
  2. Look for a tiny hole or button that can be used to reset the device.
  3. Hold down the reset button for 8 to 10 seconds after all of the LED lights suddenly go out and come back on. Then let go of the button.
  4. Approximately three minutes will pass after the extender device reboots before the default configuration is restored to factory defaults.
  5. You can attempt to re-configure the extender using the aforementioned WPS or Login procedures once you’ve reset the device.
